2009 saw Vee Limited embrace a new challenge.
We designed constructed and operate the 7 1/4" gauge railway line at High Legh Railway, in th grounds of Strikes High Legh Garden Centre, Nr Knutsford in Cheshire. A Hobbie turned business by Andrew Higgins. His passion for railways since a child saw him use company investment into the railway to make the small visitor attraction one which welcomes approximately 20.000 passengers annually. We have a fleet of n locomotives and a route of half a mile. Meander through the lawn and stop at the Play area which we received funding from from DEFRA in 2011 under their Rural Development Plan for England funding scheme. Andrew and the volunteer team work tireslessly to provide safety and fun on the railway at Weekends, Bank and selected school holidays. We run Halloween and Santa specials as well as providing private hires and Birthday parties on the railway too.
We have also helped other railways establish and in 2014-2016 provided maintenance to Track and rolling stock at the All-in-one Railway, Allostock. We helped them comission a New locomotive, Carriages and signalling. Staff were trained and a full setup of the railway and handover provided to the garden centre management.
